Watercolors and pencil on 100% cotton heavyweight paper.
It was so inspiring to paint this illustration! I hope I'll have such kind and creative clients again!

first is the base. Then all the rest. Fashion illustration poses need to be exaggerated and elongated. It's not about drawing skinny models. You just need to capture the pose, the movement of the body. It is best to draw the model pose and not just copy it.

Fashion illustration of a young asian woman, wearing couture dress plus handwritten name. I loved this custom project, because it includes my favourite - watercolour illustration, fashion and... calligraphy. Yeah! I used black and colored inks and carmine watercolour, because in my practice I realized that it's really important for the paints to be lightfast and last for years. Oh and the paper is very important too - 100% cotton, BFK Rives Infinity, 240 gsm paper. I am a paper junkie and this paper is like alive in my hands. Althought it is for printmaking, since it's cotton I use it for watercolour and am really happy with the results.
